By Daniel Herman

In this article we will answer the question does herpes look like a pimple? Further more will take a closer look at what herpes is, the relationship between herpes and pimples and finally we’ll look at what can cause pimples to appear on the genitals. By the time you have finished reading the information presented within this article you will have a good understanding of herpes and its symptoms.
Before we go into any specifics let’s take a look at what herpes actually is. This is a sexually transmitted infection which is caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). There are actually two common types of this virus and these are known as HSV-1 and HSV-2. When an individual becomes infected with the former they will develop cold sores, when and individual becomes infected with the latter they will develop genital herpes. Now that you know what herpes is let’s move on and take a look at the relationship between pimples and herpes.
When people develop a pimple on their genitals many think the worst, and believe it is a sign of an STD such as herpes. As a result they get worried, but due to the location of the pimple many suffer in silence because they are too embarrassed to get it checked out. On the other hand some people notice pimple like bumps on their genitals, brush it off as a minor rash or pimple, and do nothing about it, when it may actually be an STD. The best thing to do is speak to your doctor as he will be able to give you a proper diagnosis. If an individual does actually have herpes they will develop blisters on their penis, now these can be mistaken for pimples, however there is a way to tell whether these have occurred as a result of genital herpes. If it is herpes these blisters will be accompanied by flu like symptoms. Now that you know the relationship between herpes and pimples lets look at what can cause the latter to appear on the genitals.
In order to understand what causes pimples in the genital regions you need to be aware that the skin in this area acts exactly the same way as the skin on the face does, so if it gets irritated a visual symptoms will manifest itself. The main cause of a pimple on the genitals is due to blocked follicles, they could become blocked by hair, oil or something else, but the result is usually a pimple. Pimples disappear after a few weeks, so if you have one that doesn’t then you may have an STD, such as genital warts which don’t disappear over time.
Now that you have read this article you should have a good understanding of what herpes is, you should know the relationship between this sti and pimples and finally you should know what causes pimples to appear on the genitals.

The Definition For Autism Spectrum Disorder
By Frank De Sousa
Autism is a developmental disorder that is characterized by impaired development in communication, social interaction, and behavior. Autism is classified as a Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), which is part of a broad spectrum of developmental disorders affecting young children and adults, the Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
This type of disorder is recognized globally as an urgent health care crisis. Unfortunately, in a country built on the tenets of freedom of speech, sometimes people with access to the media are able to spread harmful mistruths. Autism is diagnosed on the basis of abnormalities in the areas of social development, communicative development, and imagination, together with marked repetitive or obsessional behavior or unusual, narrow interests.
Individuals with autism may have an IQ at any level. This behaviorally is defined as neurodevelopment disorder that begins in early childhood. Although the diagnosis of autism may not be made until a child reaches preschool or school age, the signs and symptoms of autism may be apparent by the time the child is aged at 12-18 months, and the behavioral characteristics of autism are almost always evident by the time the child is aged 3 years.
While the degree of severity varies widely, people with autism have difficulty understanding relationships and emotions and sometimes display inappropriate behaviors, such as extreme reactions to minor changes, unusual sensitivities to particular sounds, sights or textures, compulsive routines and repetitive movements.
A child with autism may fail to respond to their name and often avoid eye contact with other people. They have difficulty interpreting what others are thinking or feeling because they don’t understand social cues provided by tone of voice or facial expressions and they don’t watch other people’s faces to pick up on these cues.
Autism is a heterogeneous disorder which means that there are several known causes of autism including phenylketonuria (PKU), tuberous sclerosis and 15q duplications. However fragile X is the most common known cause of autism so far identified.
A comprehensive evaluation requires a multidisciplinary team including a psychologist, neurologist, psychiatrist, speech therapist, and other professionals who diagnose children with ASDs. Child and adolescent psychiatrists are trained to diagnose autism, and to help families design and implement an appropriate treatment plan. They can also help families cope with the stress which may be associated with having a child with autism.
Since children with Autism have a problem with part of their brain, it means kids with autism develop skills differently than most other kids. Children with autism deserve our respect for their bravery in tackling an incurable condition.

Seeking Alternatives to Breast Implants, Liposuction in Tough Economy?
by Danna Schneider
It’s no wonder that women and men have decided to put off or otherwise cancel cosmetic surgeries with the economy going the way it has. Heck, those of you reading may have postponed or re-thought any sights you had in the immediate future of having an expensive cosmetic procedure.
So, what cosmetic surgeries are really hurting specifically in these hard financial times, and more importantly, when will they pick up again? Also, is there a way you can use the rough economy to get a great price on a cosmetic procedure. You bet!
There is so much information and misinformation (doom and gloom media unfortunately) going on around our economy right now, that you’d think the US was on the brink of a collapse they will never come back from. While the situation is probably the most dire most of us will see in our lifetimes, we will come back from this, but it is going to take a lot of time. Unfortunately, most people in the know say it will take a few years, not a few months, to fully recuperate and get back to where we were for this to pass.
That doesn’t mean our worlds have to stop, but it does mean for many of us that we need to make cutbacks on things that are not a necessity or things that could be put off without too much hassle of inconvenience. One of the items that falls in the “not a necessity” category is, you guessed it, one of the burgeoning markets over the past ten years, plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures.
According to most plastic surgeons, the past month or two have brought dramatic decreases in their business, especially when it comes to the more expensive procedures that range in the thousands of dollars category, such as breast augmentations and liposuction, both of which are costly because of the anesthesia and actual complicated surgery that is involved.
Conversely, other specialists that mostly do less expensive procedures such as facial fillers, Botox, and other more temporary, but less invasive procedures that do not involve surgery and thousands of dollars, may have actually seen a slight boost in their sales. In other words, lots of patients who may have otherwise been planning to get a facelift, mini facelift, or some other facial procedure requiring surgery may have opted instead for the less expensive, less invasive procedure to save money for the time being.
The quest for other alternatives that may be less expensive to these common and very popular surgeries has led many women to look for alternatives to breast implants, face lifts, tummy tucks, liposuction and the like. However, even those areas of opportunity or women and men have seen dips with the faltering economy.
They’re finding that there are some great nonsurgical ways to look and feel fantastic and to improve their bodies as well as their self esteem, which is a great thing since surgery isn’t for everybody and doesn’t necessarily always accomplish what they patient wants.
Facelifts may be the way to go for some, but often times they do not have the desired outcome and look unnatural. I’ve seen a few women in the public eye who have gotten them and looked good, like Madonna and maybe Janice Dickinson would fit in that category, but for the most part facelifts just make the person look like they got a facelift.
There’s no need for that any more with the abundance of cosmetic dermal fillers like juvederm and restylane, not to mention a bevy of at home products that can be used to blast away wrinkles and the fine lines and spots that go with aging. Such products I’m referring to are the at home soft light lasers, microdermabrasion systems, chemical peels that are available in the same strength as a dermatologist office (just use caution), and other home treatments that provide a world of difference when it comes to looking younger.
There are also ways to enhance the breasts without surgery, such as supplements that stimulate the growth and development of breast tissue, vacuum devices that stimulate growth, and a variety of creams and lotions, heck, even hypnosis for breast enhancement, that have worked for women seeking to enhance this part of their body.
When it comes to cellulite, areas where spot reduction is needed, and body contouring, there are a ton of body wraps that can be used at home, cellulite creams and lotions that work with massage to contour fatty areas, and even special shorts one can wear that reduce specific areas of the body through compression.
So you see, if you are one of the people who has put off that plastic surgery or that “dream procedure” you’ve been hoping for all these years, take heart that you can improve your appearance without surgery, and for a lot less money.

The Power of Self-Talk - Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life
By Brad Bahr
Self-Talk is something we do all the time. Through out the day we have a stream of thoughts constantly running through our mind. How many time have you tried to get to sleep at night but can’t shut of your racing thoughts about some problem you have?
Do you think Michael Phelps said to himself at the Olympics “I’ll never win this race, I’m just too darn slow”? Of course not. Then why do we do it? Before a job interview, we might think to ourself “I’ll never get this job… I always do terrible at interviews… It’s probably a crappy job anyway… I don’t even want it.” Is this going to help you get the job? No. Your thoughts and attitude show through to people.
We constantly sabotage our own efforts with this kind of negative self-talk all the time. Just stop doing it. From now on, every time you catch yourself thinking like this, just stop and turn it around. As soon as you get to “It’s probably a crappy job anyway”, stop and repeat to yourself “I CAN get this job… I have talent and the ability to do this kind of work… I have a great personality and people like me… I’m going to do great at this interview”.
Who do you think has the better chance of success in this situation? The hardest part about all this is catching your thoughts before they run away with you. Just practice catching yourself through out the day. The more you practice, the easier it gets!
The very hardest thoughts to catch are angry thoughts. Someone cuts you off in traffic. The next thing you know, you’re speeding to catch up with the person so you can ride their bumper. Maybe even get past them and you’ll be able to give them the finger. Oh… wouldn’t that show them a thing or two. Then for the next half hour you can drive the rest of the way home from work thinking of what you’d say to the person if you got a hold of them. The imaginary argument builds in your head until you see yourself punching the person in the nose and walking away in triumph.
Be honest, you’ve had these kinds of thoughts before. I know I have. Everyone does. The trick is to catch it before you get too much negative emotion in invested in it. The more negative emotion you put into your thoughts, the harder they are to control. Catch it early. The earlier the better.
This is a trick I use to not get mad at other drivers. Someone races by me and cuts me off. I think to myself “Oh well, maybe he just got a phone call that his wife was in an accident and he’s on his way to the hospital to see her”. I then remember the several times in my life that I forget about the traffic laws to get to my family members who were in trouble or in the hospital.
There are many little tricks like this you can use to change your thought patterns. And we’ll be exploring many more of them in future posts. Remember, the more you think a certain way, the stronger and more habitual these thoughts become. If used in a good way it works out to your advantage. Give it a try the next time you want to get angry at another driver and see what happens.
My best to you, Brad
